Does anybody have any actual news on George Alagiah as it has been a while now?

Really hope he is doing ok, as I want to see him back on the BBC News at 6.

There hasn't been any official comment and until George feels its right to talk about it I think we should refrain from speculating on his health.

Hmm, another appointment-to-view programme with its own title, or just a new timeslot?

I just assumed he's just referring to Victoria Derbyshire's new show rather than a show of his own.

I read that tweet as referring to the Victoria Derbyshire displacing existing morning output and current schedule.

A give-away of the logo + name of programme? "Victoria Derbyshire Programme" - hopefully not.

It does show what sort of ambition this programme is going for with debates outside of the studio. A very 5 Live thing to do.

Some more info on the programme from Launch Editor Louisa Compton.

Branding looks a lot stronger than before. Really looking forward to see how this comes together. Only 3 weeks to go!

So is the programme coming from Studio B when not on the road?

Interesting that the programme is coming from studio B. Presumably this means a jib operator might be required. Are the other cameras in B able to be operated manually and remotely?

It will be along the lines of WHYS with steady cam / jib work as far as I know.
