I'd say his suggestion to those in England to watch scotland today rather than moan about ITV cutbacks is probably the most ridiculous he's came out with

It was a highly amusing one bar anything else!
Highly amusing? Do you just not get out much?
Whasssit gotta do with you?
ANYWAY, Watched RS tonight, looks as if they ran out of time tonight, no time for headlines. ST did trounce them tonight with their Vicky Hamilton coverage, though.

Don't know what was going on at the 530pm bulletin on Saturday but she had to gallop through the football results so quickly, she got tongue tied on a couple of occasions. I presume had all the matches been " on " then she would have either had some sort of seizure.
She was also halfway through the weather when the patronising words of Saturday weather wisdom appeared on screen.
I say " she " because I didn't catch the presenter's name and had never seen her before.
She deserves a medal for nearly finishing the bulletin on time ( lol )
Catriona Renton?!! What a joke. Whoever at RS decided she ought to be let loose on screen, let alone presenting bulletins, wants the firing squad... You get counts on your ear, you know...
Newsnight Scotland tonight presented live from Dublin as a European Elections Special - comparing the attitudes and approaches of Ireland to the EU compared with ours in Scotland. Worth a watch.
Will most likely be on the iPlayer as Newsnight Scotland usually is.
I don't know who was directing Reporting Scotland after the 10pm news, but there was IMO excellent direction. It was helped by a rather stunning Glasgow sunset / nighttime sky in the background.
Still baffled about why they provide a regional forecast on a Sunday at this time, but yet Saturday teatime only warrants a number of " large words " on the screen. ( Particulary when there is a national UK forecast immediately after the 1020pm bulletin ).
