Hilarious. Switching from Gateshead to Carlisle backdrops whilst Pam & Ian never moved.

Seems as if the late bulletins have split in two tonight to compensate for the Tyne Tees viewers.
Border's bulletin under the Lookaround banner though I do believe they have some 'ITV News Border' titles to use for these instances.

I thought this was normal - the late bulletin was always split and it certainly was called Lookaround since the Tyne Tees merger.

The only time afaik that "Border" is used it relation to
news is when it's joint bulletins with Tyne Tees.

The late programmes are always split and branded as ITV News Lookaround and ITV News Tyne Tees. The only joint programmes are the Daybreak bulletins, lunchtime programmes, weekends and the second 15 minutes of the 6pm programmes.

Did anyone capture this! ha! Could Pam/Ian not have ad-libbed there way 'til the Border story started... What did they say? "Let's get some other news from the Border / wider region"?

That's roughly what happened: Pam and Ian apologised for the ongoing technical problems, then mentioned they were going over to the Border part of the programme, switching as a new story was introduced so no jump into them mid-sentence. I don't think there were any unnatural pauses through the whole handover process.

I looked on the ITV Player to see if I could watch this (apparently not), but it is a shame that I got this response:

There were no results for "tyne tees". Did you mean "tune teens"?

No sound for the opening titles and headlines this evening. They lost a live OB mid way on the lunchtime bulletin. Not having much luck Wink

While tonight, Kenny's report on the Aston Martin found in Scotland didn't look like it had been de-interlaced before broadcast. No comment on the poor picture quality leading out of the report.

At the risk of sounding like a t!t, but what does de-interlaced mean, Col?

Worth noting TTTV's long serving political reporter Gerry Foley has been absent for a wee while - we've had the likes of Ben Erlam and Alison Mackenzie (?) introduced as political reporters. Although news reporter Helen Ford travelling to London and presenting the Around the House prog.
