I reckon they'll just say "And some changes are on the way on Monday" as the camera pans out which will be very disappointing.
I remember when Phil Hornby left presenting Meridian Tonight SE - there was no mention at all and we were suddenly greeted with Ian and Sangeeta as if nothing had happened. Charlotte left for Sky a few months before ISTR. Mind you Phil was very twitchy when presenting and clearly didn't enjoy it.
In a way it'll be nice seeing Fred in the South East again after all these years - I think the last time he was seen here (news wise) was in the Southern days when he did the sport (I could be wrong though). I think a lot of viewers in the SE will be wondering what's going on if there's no explanation - which there most likely won't be.

If Wesley gets it his way there will deff be more than a mention - he will explain it all to us.

Does make you wonder what they're going to do for a backdrop. The weekend green couldn't be more plain and boring and choosing one of the existing ones over another would alienate a lot of viewers. Guess they'll probably just choose a totally different one. Any ideas where the centre of this new super region is?

Yep - I think Fred was last seen as a regular news presenter in the SE region in the days of Southern when he was on Day by Day. (Which was pan-regional Mon-Thur, with a split Northam/Dover show on Friday I think?)

Yeah. 'Scene South East' came from Dover presented by Mike Field - who still occasionally reports for Meridian.
