My friends met wesley and he says hes's a relly nice guy he did some work experience at central south about 5 years ago said he had time to chat andshow him round etc. Soi naturalloy my friend weas delighted when he saw Wesley pop up on Thames Valey tongiht which is now his region.

Yep he's a nice guy it seems which is the main thing. Personally it's giggling gemma Humprhies which is the one for me She is perfect you must agree

Sally and Roger are in Cowes for tonight's South Today , the other Roger's in the studio.

Problems with the graphics appearing this morning on South Today's breakfast bulletins, so it was all fullscreen at 6.25 and 6.55. Caroline Richardson apologised and referred viewers to local radio to get traffic updates.

What do we all think of these Meridian 'road trips' ? They certainly make a lot of effort, is this a new thing for this year ot what ? Has Gemma Humphries always been so inolved also if not ??! On the South version there is none of this OB stuff

I really wish sky would put the SE version on the EPG as well as the south one as I get the south version on 103, surely I should get the SE one living in the Brighton area ?

Also I had no idea how most seem to dislike Ian Axton and Segnetta etc. They seem quite competant but Ian does come out with some daft things some times. Fred Dinage is very much the same. I think it's good to be cheery IMO...

Does anyone 'in the know' know...when ITV plan to go true 16:9 with thier news / local news ? There are plans apparently later this year

By road trips do you mean their day out at a certain tourist attraction in the south east or a county show etc. I've seen these since I got sky in 2004 and generally the shows were hosted by Charlotte Hawkins with Gemma and Jeff Moody co-presenting or occasionally with Sarah Saunders. I havn't bothered to watch Meridian News SE much since Lottie left and havn't seen any of the OB's this summer.

They are too cheery in my opinion and Sangeeta as a habit of putting her little comment in after nearly every news item. Ian's not so bad but she grates on me.

I'me wondering what's going on with the awful Philipa Drew doing the weather, Gemma now seems to be on screen only 2 days a week as Drew has apparently taken over the other 2 days even doing chats 'on the sofa' with Fred. Imposter !! I hope this is not permenant. Drew gabbles away dreadfully. I usually say out loud oh no go away when she's on, get her off !
