Firstly, sad to see Martyn go - he was Mr ITV Weather for me!
Secondly, couldn't help but post about this :

Why that font for the word 'itv'?!? Do they not have any vector images of the yellow ITV logo?

Actually South Today/Meridian Tonight go out a bit further west than Weymouth. The footprint of Rowridge goes out to areas near to Abbotsbury & even pockets towards Bridport. There is a Rowridge relay further west than Weymouth too at Winterbourne Steepleton...
Weymouth itself is very patchy for reception from Rowridge, with only areas close to the harbour, Wyke Regis & going down towards Portland having aerials pointing that way. Portland only has Rowridge facing aerials on the eastern side & down towards Portland Bill...
Sky/Freesat is indeed mapped to BBC South though, with ITV1 Westcountry... It does make you wonder why they didn't re-asign the Weymouth transmitter to taking a Rowridge feed after DS, as they did with Whitehawk Hill, as South Today seems to cover the town better than Spotlight (& Southampton is closer than Plymouth). Meridian also seem to go there a lot...
More region-stretching from South Today tonight.
Given that even ST's usual editorial inclusion of Weymouth & Portland really is at the westernmost limit of what they can possibly claim to cover, I was surprised to see tonight's lead story tonight was from near Bridport - Well and truly Spotlight-exclusive territory, surely?
The report package ended before the outcue, and Sally Taylor in the studio retrospectively name-checked the reoprter. So, presumably a Spotlight report was used, and that a re-dubbed "South Today"-branded edit wasn't available.
ST's sports reporter will be based in Weymouth throughout the Olympics. During his OB on last night's programme, he acknowledged that "our colleagues from BBC Plymouth" were also doing the same thing! The camera swung round, and he pointed at the Press Area where Spotlight were seemingly doing a simultaneous OB.

Technically that should be the ITV plc 'Teal' Logo with Meridian in black or white

Did anyone see and even better record the Saturday lunch time edition of South East Today. There was quite a messy ending. They seemed to have trouble playing out the video for Neil Bell's live sports round-up from the Olympic Stadium and then the recorded weather wouldn't play either. Caroline Feraday apologised and looked worried that she would have to fill for the duration of the missing weather report, however they did get the weather to play but by then it was too late and so they crashed back to Caroline Feraday who apologised and ended the programme. It was quite odd because she just said "Sorry and goodbye".

BBC South East have announced that Kaddy-Lee Preston has returned to SET to present weather bulletins, although I suspect as a freelancer.
SET are known to have a pool of freelancers to cover, such as Michael Fish.

You're right, I'd never relalised the relay was there, having just checked in mb21

The problem is, the Weymouth relay is used all up the coast, as far as Lyme Regis. In fact most of Lyme Regis rely on it, unable to see Stockland Hill. Lyme Regis is right on the Dorset/Devon border, so I don't think they'd take too kindly to BBC South/ITV Meridian

No, it shouldn't.
It should be ITV blue with no container end, like this:

But the fact is it's gone on October 14th so what's the problem? It's only a sticker!

MikeW, I think that the logo you have posted is actually precisely what DanielK was referring to. That's certainly what I thought he meant when I read his post. Yes, his choice of the word "teal" to describe the colour was inaccurate, but the fact that he referred to the "ITV plc" logo (and also put "teal" in quote marks) made it pretty clear what he was getting at, I feel.
So, the "No, it shouldn't" pedantic knee-jerk response is perhaps a bit uncalled for?
