Tim's clambered up to interview some of the mountainside vigil-keepers who presumably weren't allowed into the mine itself. Fantastic view of the floodlit valley in the background, like a scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Hopefully this will be their closing shot before Breakfast.
BBC is still continuing with the coverage, probably it's because it's BBC World News America for West Coast, but it seems that they accidentally took the BBC WN DOG off, because I see BBC News DOG + Clock.
Will the last person be taking the camera and any other broadcast equipment with them or are they going to leave it all down there to get a shot of the last person leaving?
They left it down there to get a shot of the last person leaving.
Think the camera was mainly there to help the winch operator know when the capsule was in the cavern, so they'll have needed it for the last departure too. Looked like an webcam anyway, so not exactly much to leave behind - maybe they'll try and drag it out by its cable?
And the last person leaves the mine. Amazing stuff.
