Ugh. Matt's overzealous commentary ruined the moment. Not impressed.

I thought it was about right, I didn't have a problem with it. He and Tim added to the excitement

Almost 24 hours of this! Has there ever been anything like this before.

A stand out day in the 21 year history of Sky News.

(I bet they regret not sending a more senior presenter).

The Chilean production team were clearly trying to do a 'quiet before the storm' build-up, fading in and out of different shots, then there's Matt...

"LOOK AT THE EXPRESSION ON THE PRESIDENT'S FACE"

Yes Matt! I can see it!

To be fair though, he and Tim have made a great duo during the last 24 hours and you can't fault their dedication.

I think Andrew has done a grand job, really not sure what JT or Anna Botting could have done to better the output?

Sounds like the BBC's coverge has been more of a pre-season pantomine...

Emma Hurd back on Sky News, is Andrew off now all the miners have been rescued?

Will the president give his one hundred press conference?

Andrew is good of course, but he's not as senior or publicly known as Jeremy, Dermot or you know who.

I'd be interested to see Sky's ratings tomorrow.

Andrew's gone off to bed I think!

Tim and Matt are still going.

Tim's clambered up to interview some of the mountainside vigil-keepers who presumably weren't allowed into the mine itself. Fantastic view of the floodlit valley in the background, like a scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Hopefully this will be their closing shot before Breakfast.

They're back in the studio now with the overnight presenter. She does the sport sometimes, don't know her name.

BBC is still continuing with the coverage, probably it's because it's BBC World News America for West Coast, but it seems that they accidentally took the BBC WN DOG off, because I see BBC News DOG + Clock.

Will the last person be taking the camera and any other broadcast equipment with them or are they going to leave it all down there to get a shot of the last person leaving?

They left it down there to get a shot of the last person leaving. Wink

Think the camera was mainly there to help the winch operator know when the capsule was in the cavern, so they'll have needed it for the last departure too. Looked like an webcam anyway, so not exactly much to leave behind - maybe they'll try and drag it out by its cable?

And the last person leaves the mine. Amazing stuff.
