So Marc's suddenly gone from presenting Wake Up London full time to two days per week. A massive come down after a short time. I can see Alex getting Wednesday in the long term as Gavin has been surprisingly wooden since leaving Daybreak.

Why wasn't this picked up during the pilots that the format for the breakfast show simply wasn't working as it appears Alex has been promoted out of the blue and actually gets what they're looking for, while the experienced male presenters don't?

I don't know the technical term, but one of the cameras set up during Headline London had black borders at the top and bottom.

Have any more ratings been released since the opening night?

Just watching London Go for the first time since launch night, and I have to say it's pretty good.

It does a great job of capturing the early-evening buzz of London and, given that broadcasting continuously live from two locations is fairly ambitious, it's much slicker than I'd have expected. They're live at a film premiere in Leicester Square tonight and are seamlessly weaving in interviews with the stars, so they must have great producers.

A week on since I last watched Wake Up London, here's a travel bulletin which while has more information on screen, contains just as much stumbling and waffling.

And a City bulletin.

"I haven't spinned it much this morning"

Awful travel bulletin, worse and less coherent than any bulletin I've heard on local radio, including the ones by the presenters they only get in at weekends.
dbl, ASO and London Lite gave kudos

It's clear her ad-libbing is quite frankly awful. She couldn't grasp simply saying "all lines are operating a good service" instead going from what she could see after spinning the service details. However, the detail on screen regarding the roads is a big improvement.

Eeek! Wow those are both shocking. If you cant vamp and hold a "normal conversation" whilst on air, that clearly shows she's is not ready for tv. "Spinned it"??? Really? Come on. too many Umm and Uhhhs. Frankly terrible. She's got the deer in the headlights look on her face. Tripping and stumbling over her facts. LL might try something different....Look for a clear spoken cabbie or police officer. Who says all tv "people" have to come thru media school? Police offers and cabbies for the most part know the streets backwards and forwards (or at least they should anyways). Just an idea. CP24 in Toronto hired a former Ontario Provincial police officer to do their traffic. http://www.broadcastermagazine.com/news/opp-s-cam-woolley-joins-toronto-s-cp24/1000083462/?&er=NA
He was named the Traffic and Safety Specialist. This type of "specialist" hiring was something CityTv used to do and those hiring practices continue at its former 24 hour news channel CP24

London Live already utilise the services of black cab driver Joey Bone on Food Junkies. Now he's a natural.

Now this is scraping the barrel stuff, this item is part of their news and current affairs output.

Then they need to get him on traffic quick. He couldnt be any worse than the lady they are using now.
