Completely agree - don't rate her at all.
I must be the only one that thinks Charlene White is a bit meh & dull tbh. My opinion but hey ho, if she is breaking into the lunchtime ranks then clearly she is rated.

Why did the regions get an ident just now at 6pm? Did they do that yesterday?
All that was said was the ITV News headlines were in half an hour so it wasn't as if tonight was a different schedule to any other night.
Very strange!
But about time that the regional news was introduced properly rather than just going straight into it. Now all we need is the regional names to appear on the idents again and verbally but that might be asking too much!

It did say something along the lines of "first though the news from your itv region", can't see us getting anything more local.

Much better from ITV. All that is required in my opinion, considering each show is now named ITV News (Region).

Surely something about the news 'closer to home' would be better, instead of 'from your ITV region', as then it at least feels at bit more local.

Nonetheless it was intentionally longer than usual to mark Paul Cunningham's passing. Paul was a current Sound Mixer at ITN who sadly passed away last weekend. He was a thoroughly decent chap and I know many at ITN were very shocked and saddened this week.
It came as a huge shock to us all Rob. I'd known and worked with Paul for many, many years and he was a dear friend and colleague. He'll be sorely missed.
I thought the NaT tribute was a very touching gesture by ITN. I can't recall any other occasion when a crew member has been commemorated in this way who didn't pass away in the course of duty. That's a huge testament to the high regard Paul was held in.
For anybody who missed it last week, screen grab from Thursday's NAT close:

A fitting tribute to a genuinely nice guy.

Sightly agreed now that the regional news programmes dont have names something along the lines 'now the news closer to home' or 'first though the local headlines' as things like 'your ITV region' sound a bit wooden and less-friendly, and itv continuity is starting to be more friendly now.
In the days of programmes name I would personally prefer a pre-recorded announcement such as 'The National and International news is on the way in half an hour, now though its time for North East Tonight' and do a few variants like 'Emmerdales here in an hours time, before that though here's Granada Reports' etc. etc.

Thanks for posting that Sky Networks. I had the serendipitous privilege to be working on the programme. Even though I knew it was coming, the caption appearing brought a lump to my throat. RIP Paul.
