It was just Huw, except for the sports roundup. When wasn't Huw used to give the news roundup at 10:30pm just before the link into Business Today? (It was the regualar female presenter who did the roundup.)

Ta!

I presume Huw had to go and get ready to do the 10:45 on BBC One

It was Huw and a sports presenter - why not just leave it and let the channel ''roll'' without doing the Ten - I didn't see the point!

For a while I thought that the BBC ONE news would be in N24 studio then realised Buisness Today was on.

It did seem incongruous, not really necessary.

I guess a lot of people think that Huw IS the Ten - and many people would find staying up until gone 11pm a bit too late for them. Lots of people watch the Ten and go to bed as part of their daily routine - I guess this was a way of not short-changing them too much.

(I bet the Beeb tried to get the kick off moved to be slightly earlier, but failed!)

Let's hope that it is in fact the gradual integration of Edwards onto N24, where the vast majority of the UK National viewing public will never have to watch him.

Are you being serious when you said that "Huw Edwards IS the Ten?"

Given that Huw is the main presenter of the Ten Iwas being deadly serious. Most people now associate Huw with Ten, in the same way that they once linked Sir Trevor with the ITV News at Ten.

Given that Huw is increasingly the voice of major BBC TV Events coverage (D Day commemorations for example) I don't see him disappearing from BBC One screens anytime soon - and thankfully so.

IMHO (and that of many others) he is one of the best news presenters the BBC have got at the moment.

I think he is the new Peter Sissons!

Is that said seriously or t.i.c. NewsWatch? Peter Sissons really was fabulous on the Ten, and far more suited to that than he is on rolling news coverage such as N24.

I just seem to get the feeling that you must have been watching a different Ten to the rest of us if you seriously believe what you said there.

Sissons started life DREADFUL, was always DREADFUL, is currently DREADFUL on News 24, will always be DREADFUL and will be DREADFUL announcing the hymns from his coffin at his funeral.

Huw Edwards, however, has brought something special to the Ten since he moved from the Six and it is now FAR better.

Is anyone else also watching his EXCELLENT current series in Wales about the history of religion in the country?
