Does anybody know when LBC News will get added to the Digital 1 multiplex?

Just after midnight.

Thank you.

Now on D1 at 32kbps AAC+ stereo. (DAB+)

LBC London News is still on the London 2 multiplex simulcasting LBC using standard DAB.

Interesting that it's in stereo. I know that with parametric stereo it probably doesn't have a material effect on the sound, but surely the only thing that will be in stereo is the TOTH music.

Wow I LOOOOOOOOOVE that theme. Powerful. Its clearly tied to the LBC mothership with the signature. But its different enough to stand on its own. Sounds great. Its bouncy, big, thumping and stirring. Nice job on that.

With LBC proper, the 3 note sounder is obviously
L
B
C

but the 5 note sounder for this new channel's theme makes me think

It's
L
B
C
News

I wonder if LBC will use the new sound for the news updates?

John Kettley is a weatherman.

And Declan Currey has the business updates.

That is a VERY strong TOTH opener.

You beat me to it. I like it so far, and in the car the stereo jingles do make a difference

Despite my mixed feelings in the LBC brand as a whole, I do quite like LBC News. The jingles are good, the presenters are great, and Global seems to have gotten the format spot on. I've been waiting for a rolling news station on national radio for a while (NewsRadioUK doesn't quite cut it for me), and this seems to fill that gap. My only complaint is that I can only listen online, although that is an issue with the D1 multiplex and not Global. However, I can see myself tuning in on a regular basis.
