I'm missing the four day weather forecast they used to do on LBC London News. Obviously they've gone for the forecast and travel together in the same segment where they opt-out.
The weather is certainly the same person on both feeds. The daytime weather person reads the script v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y to meet the allocated time. It sounds very jarring.
I think that's just John Ketley's style but it isn't in keeping with the pace of the rest of the station. Hopefully they'll notice and tidy it up by shavin a few seconds off weather and add them to travel. The national weather was very detailed I thought so I can imagine it might sound even more drawn out on the London feed, unless they are already giving them different timings
those gaps are easy to fill with quick promos to read out and should be used if the on air staff is incapable of vamping for time. (You're listening to the UK's first rolling news station. All day, all night non-stop news. The newswatch never stops. From across the UK all the news that matters to you.... blah blah blah...)
I think it's important to remember that it will take time for everything to be fine tuned. Whilst it isn't an entirely new format, it is important to remember that it'll still take some adaptation, especially with split weather and travel bulletins. As dvboy has already said, they will be looking for areas where there are slightly timing issues, and try and tidy them up.
I do wonder if they'll end up making the station available on TV. I understand that might be a challenge on Freeview, but surely it's possible on satellite and Virgin Media.

Lisa Aziz was doing a lot of this kind of thing on Monday morning, it gets tedious after you've heard it the third or fourth time.

Does radio have to play by the same rules as TV?
I don't know. If that is the case, then I would've thought that it would have caused LBC issue by now.
On another note, I've just heard the presenter call the station LBC London News. Surprised it's taken me this long to hear that slip up.
