'BBC World News channel' also showed it. But I don't know how they measure that channel's ratings.

The channel is called "BBC News". Why do they insist on writing and saying "channel" after it? It seems odd.
People don't say "Sky News channel"...

If only there was a way they could brand the channel to avoid any confusion.

Because Sky News is predominantly a rolling news channel and doesn't provide separate bulletins on different outlets, like BBC News does. Its also been branded that way since launch, whereas the BBC News Channel launched as BBC News 24. They have to distinguish it otherwise it doesn't mean anything. Granted, they could present the logo much better.

BBC News (the channel) is referred to as BBC News on the channel itself, but when promoting it on other outlets its called the BBC News Channel. Similar to what ITV News did.

Can’t think of anywhere better to put this and probably doesn’t need a thread of its own, but has the TV version of Newscast been axed? It doesn’t seem to be in the schedule anymore with a DIY SOS repeat now following Question Time.

I cannot remember which one of the team/editor that tweeted that they would be off tv until they could figure out how to make the tv studio a safer environment. It wasn't on last week either.

Last night’s BBC News Special with the Prime Minister’s press conference attracted 15.8m viewers.

It didn't get 15.8m viewers in the usual BARB way of measuring viewers, it was about 9m on BBC One. That must be overall reach or something.

It does say "across BBC channels", not just BBC One.

WHen was it last on TV? Not much of a loss I’m afraid, and definitely not a worthy successor to This Week (which probably had had its day admittedly).

It’s not been on since 21st January according to this. Although they may have been Match of the Days scheduled in some of those Thursdays like there is next week. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000f2kw/episodes/guide?page=2

It does seem a strange reason, it went out all through the first year of the pandemic and it’s not like it’s a complicated show, so surely if that that was the case they could find some other way of doing it. Just suggests they’re not that bothered about the show.

RTÉ News have updated their Coronavirus graphics again with them have moving graphics. It used to be a static image displayed with figures before this. They have a new bright blue backdrop in the background provided with the separate daily figures for the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland being shown in separate boxes. It looks really nice as it looks quite professional.

Jane Hill just promoted a BBC News Special for today's Downing St press conference on BBC One 'for viewers in England' (and on the BBC News Channel) - has this happened before? Can't remember it occurring or seeing it mentioned here.

Understand the reasoning behind it - just not sure if it normally happens.

Should say that today it's the Health Secretary - I think it's normally only him or the PM who gets a slot on BBC One now?

Yep-When Gavin Williamson was on last week and Rishi Sunak on Wednesday both Press Conference's were news channel only so yes BBC1 only seems to take them when either Boris Johnson or Matt Hancock doing them
