Is anyone watching the Channel 4 News special programme on now with Matt Frei? I haven't been watching it, however while looking through clips of it on Twitter, it appears the UK is getting more cases of Coronavirus than Wuhan in China.

That seems to be past its peak the uks just heading into ours and the government is meant to know what to do and tell the people about it on tv - not a discussion here as to whether or not government are right with their info that’s not for tv forum but somewhere else

With Sport being near enough cancelled, the BBC News will have loads of additional resources now as the entire BBC Sport Centre in Salford will be at a loose end. I’ll be a good opportunity for current sport reporters who want to make the break into news to get the chance.

“This is Breakfast with Karthi Gnanasegaram and Charlie Stayt”

Don't bet on that. I've just switched on Breakfast and there's extensive coverage of all the events not happening, presented by Mike Bushell from a football ground where nothing is happening

This written by Robert Peston, but highlighted on Twitter by Charlotte Edwardes of The Sunday Times

The fact that Charlotte Edwardes retweeted it shouldn't necessarily be seen as an endorsement of its accuracy - she's Robert Peston's other half.

10.35 Saturday morning, they've got a really unhelpful 'expert' on news channel at the moment. I hope she doesn't work in customers services.

If they really wanted maximum exposure, they'd displace an episode of Eastenders with it, rather than play the BBC 1 graveyard slot opposite Corrie

Super valid point, but IIRC- News Specials generally air at 7.30pm.

Oh, I know, I'm unclear given the monumental amount of airtime the crises get anyway, what the purpose of them is, particularly something as fast moving as the present one?

I've never seen this before on CNN. Is this now a contractual thing for CNN - Cisco Webex?

I imagine so especially if they’re getting the services for free or a discount. I’ve seen the WebEx logo on the US syndicated Tamron Hall show, Dr. Phil which frequently does remotes references Polycom either on screen or by saying it.

About a decade ago when Cisco Telepresence came out with HD video MSNBC had a sponsorship deal for remotes with their New York and DC studios during The Rachel Maddow Show. I’m not sure if it was truly used but before going to break they’d do a bump shot of the studio, mention the sponsorship and you could see the camera placed on top of one of their onset monitors.

I've heard that because of Coronavirus, Al Jazeera English has struggled with staff self isolating in Doha meaning more broadcasts are coming from London, starting at 4pm uk time instead of 7pm. Halla and Dareen have been sent to London to help with the extra broadcasts too.
