What tension????

BTW, I think Becky & Hala are not the best of friends, people on CNN boards talk about that often. I think it started in 2006 when they reported from Beirut. I think Becky was there first and then they pulled her back to London and brought Hala.

Becky and Hala just seemed a bit blunt., like they didn't really want to acknowledge each other.

It's always like that with them, especially Becly, she always says Hala's name so quickly, you almost can't hear it.

How long has Your World Today been done with a single presenter? Shocked

For the last month or so whenever one of the presenters is off they just put the other one alone. I'm sick of that. Why don't they use Ralitsa ,Rosemary or Stephen????
I remember they did the similar thing last summer, but this time it looks like something permanent.

At the same time, I noticed that CNN Intl's graphics seem to be slowly going towards that of CNN USA's. With more use of flashy graphics and 3d...

I hope they don't meddle with the graphics too much, CNNI have got it all just right at the moment.

The Sport/Business/News part of the ticker is red.

I like this change couse CNN red was really underused in the relunch.

It's absolutely ridiculous. I keep seeing this big red block in the corner of the screen, and my eye is instantly drawn to it. Frankly the whole flipper is a joke now that it only reports headlines off CNN.com - half of them don't make sense (particularly the sport ones).

I can't think of a single tinker to these graphics which has been positive. The new location box with map when they do a live cross is too big, and it's forced the text straps to be scrunched up more. The changes to the breaking news straps are disappointing. The new maps don't look half as good as the old ones, and the font used on them is out of place. CNN has done this time and time again over the years - they've taken a half decent graphics set and progressively made it look worse.

I agree. Recently when I've been watching the graphics are terrible, especially the straps. Usually one line is the usual font size, but the next line is smaller or squashed just so it can all fit on, and not collide with the box containing the map.

I haven't yet seen the changes to the flipper, but it sounds like the color coding has been faded out.

I preferred the previous colour coding of the different news contents. You mean the text on the flippers are kind of a RSS-reader, that grabs of the text from CNN.com? Confused Oh my.

The news stories on the BBC World breakfiller are taken directly from the website, same image, same headline and the first paragraph of the story.

I personally don't see what the fuss is all about, but if it doesn't make sense (the headlines) then they need to make it clearer online.
