I do feel sorry for the subtitlers when I see things like "Libby was no longer a pariah." Must feel terrible when that happens, slaved to the foibles of voice recognition software and racing against the clock as they are.

I watched the first 15 minutes and thought it was fine. Keep in mind that there are always tweaks with every presenter change. When David Muir took over ABC World News the media noticed that they started using present participles in almost every story tease in the cold open. ABC World News isn't my cup of tea (I prefer NBC Nightly News and CBS Evening News and watch them both) as its a bit tabloidy but people will get used to it.
But what surprised me the most watching on their website is that ITV News uses Vimeo as their video server. Which explains the poor HD quality as they down convert 1080i to 720p.

It's extraordinary that an ITV national news bulletin is available on the Internet without being geo-blocked (I'm in the Republic of Ireland).

It was right at the start of his report, over shots of the crash. Something like "27 years since flight 207..."

Yes you're right, she's not presenting. Julie has done a special report from Nigeria which will be shown over 2 nights I believe. Wonder if she will be in the studio for a chat.
