Thanks to everyone involved at the Liverpool event. I too met Ms Mackenzie and was bowled over by her enthusiasm and charm - and she still had to go back and do the overnight early Tuesday am! Having arrived as they opened the tent on Saturday morning I was able to not only do the news presenter (NWT), but also autocue, and sports presenter for 5live. Sheer bliss! Thanks NickyS for holding the thing together so well. How on earth does your voice manage to hold up all day?
Glad those of you who have made it to News and Sport on Tour have enjoyed it. Hardly any of you are actually saying hello though - I don't bite you know. I think we need some pics to prove you were there. Just Northern Ireland to go. From what I've heard quite a few big names coming to that one but I can't confirm the exact line up yet.
I was there on Monday, and have some news graphics thingys to prove it. I thought it was absolutely amazing, though I did nearly die when they brought in this big blue bug thing. Highlight of the day, being able to name all the BBC ONE idents they played on th intro to the volunteer news.

The girl taking the digital pix - did she get any decent ones of the guy in the blue striped jumper at the newsdesk with Deborah? Alternatively, did you guys record a copy of the news bulletins? If so, I was the 11am Saturday

perhaps next year all tvforumers should wear a red carnation, or ... butterfly brooch!
to think i might have brushed past a forum legend without knowing it!

About the people at it, in NI. I emailed BBC On Tour and they said: Huw Edwards, Dermot Murnaghan, Sian Williams, Jane Hill and Michael Fish. Un-confimed ATM but i cant wait! Next Friday!!!

There was a couple of sports reporters there mainly but i didnt know who they were. tried out the radio, and news and (come to think of it) i did everything there!! Got some advice off someone at BBC Recruitment. Got fotos with Jon and Rob and Newsline was there when i was there!! I wasnt shown.
