I think they should get a BBC Cheshire site up and running first, it's great when your area can be classed as Manchester, Merseyside and even Stoke.
they're winding down the regional news programmes' individual sites to focus on local sites like bbc.co.uk/manchester

In the kit of parts that Lambie-Nairn sent out to the regions for the 2008 rebrand, there wasn't an end sting sequence as such. There wasn't a complete coming-up sting either. There was, however, a CD of music sent out with lots of cuts plus the full 2'00" programme close (on David Lowe's website if you're a member). It left regions to make their own stings and programme closes to suit themselves. That's why there are so many differences up and down the country.
It looks like North West used their plasma/projector 'property' as LN call it and added a (C) text line. Hence the huge BBC North West Tonight logo and the fact that it's outside 4:3 safe (it doesn't matter for an on-screen plasma). I agree the new version is much neater.

Dianne Oxberry read today's 3pm short bulletin - wasn't bad. Has she done it before?

I don't think she has, the 3pm edition never has a fixed presenter, one day it's Gordon, the next it's Ranvir, the next it's some woman who we never see on screen.

I wonder whats going on at BBC North West, the teatime bulletin then was coming from the main studio, except it was just from one camera, with the same shot of one of the big screens, and when it came to the Weather that came from a small studio with a good sized TV in it, probably a Radio Manchester studio?
I doubt it'd be a change of set, but something's going on....

Could be a new regular thing, BBC Midlands Today seem to go straight from titles to locked shot of the desk and green screened weather.

They may have reduced staffing on some bulletins. On at least the weekend (and possibly the late weekday) bulletins of Look East the presenter now deals with changing the graphics on the projector for the weather - using the remote used by the weather presenter in the earlier two bulletins.

I suspect they are having maintenance on the studio, most probably a floor repaint.
Laura was sat on the outskirts of the studio with the screen far away, but still visible as an aid in the background, whilst Eno presented the Weather from the NWT back studio weather office; to avoid her standing on the floor possibly?
Thought the main studio news with Laura actually worked quite well on that shot though.
EDIT: Studio Floor has been painted and it's super glossy! Surprising since they had to repaint after the new studio was built for a more matt look after comments for viewers.
