I noticed in the 10am countdown there were various shots of the BBC News Helicopter ...maybe a different countdown would be better at the moment

Chris Eakin joins the coverage but from Studio C – why C and not E?

Maybe allows them to record Dateline London without showing it?

Carole Walker introducing Click from studio E. A very short day for Chris Eakin.

EDIT: Chris Eakin had now returned for BBC One Update

World in their usual studio. Alice Baxter has taken over from Martine Dennis.

I think it has to be said that the BBC have taken the right decision to let BBC Scotland and Laura Bicker go with this for the news channel...

For a Laura just being a reporter she is certainly doing a brilliant job.

Run around today, Chris Eakin was in the studio this morning, and Carole Walker appeared in the studio at 12:45 to introduce Click. Chris was once again back at 1 o’clock for the news on BBC One and appeared once again at 13:30 to hand over to the weather. Carole Walker I suppose now is in the seat from 2 till 4.

Also at 13:30, the BOTH was played with a camera shot of the crash scene before handing the Laura Bicker, Laura deserves an applause after her great coverage this morning.

Considering she hasn't anchored like this before, she certainly does deserve to be commended for her coverage. It now seems she has been replaced by Sophie Long, who was perhaps scheduled to be on the 4-8pm shift like she has been recently.

Possibly , what sounds like Gavin Grey in London so perhaps he was scheduled to be on later and came in early.

Yes, Gavin Grey in the studio to present the 4-8 shift this evening with Sophie on location - should expect Martine Croxall tonight but due to her presence on Wednesday we may have a replacement tonight at 8

The chief business correspondent Linda Yueh joined Huw at 5:30 – is she based in London? Is this just a work visit to London?
