Martine Croxall has also tweeted to say she will be changing shifts with the move to NBH, though not where she is heading, sounds like a promotion however as she's said 'my own slot with predictable hours'.

Maybe after the Ten O'Clock News. If Chris Eakin's not going to be in the studio much, as we've been told, Martine has been in that slot on and off for years.

That's not who I heard was going to be in that slot, but things change. My money's on Martine for weekends, myself.

Curious that Martine mentions her new slot is "from end of March - can't say too much but it's part of our move to shiny New BH". I wonder if this means the date's changed?

I thought it was confirmed from an insider that weekends aren't changing (neither will Simon/Carrie on weekdays).

It was confirmed that Simon and Carrie aren't moving, but there's currently no fixed 4pm Saturday presenter (not saying there will be, but there could be), and I wouldn't be surprised if weekend evenings became more consistent.

Reading Martine Croxall's Twitter (though I may be reading too much into it), it suggests she'll be presenting the new 9pm shift (and possibly earlier or later in addition from Studio E) from Studio A (virtual studio).

"You are well-informed! Studio E is a marvel though green clothes are a no-no"
"My mistake: green is fine in Studio E. It's Studio A where it's verboten"

Surely she must be working in that studio to know that? And some of the other replies back to people suggest she'll be seen in the evenings too.

To me anyway none of the shifts on the news channel have consistency except for the nationals ( the six and the ten are very stable in my opinion , well at the moment anyway.) But I know they are piloting but before all of this you see presenters popping up all over the place! , weekends are the worst for me. I like it when things stay the same , you know what presenter your going to get when you switch on! ( this is just my views)

And I seen on Martine's twitter that they will be moving on the 18th sorry if it's been mentioned.

So Jane & Matthew are rehearsing together which means they will stay together after the move, I guess.

Hopefully they will, they're one of the strongest pairings on the News Channel.

Aha. Five days of Martine Dennis on The World Today this week. We are indeed spoiled. She is one of the very best.

So, it seems that BBC World News has taken a slightly different angle since the relaunch. As noted by some of the presenters themselves, they're seeking to have consistency in various slots, and are trying to avoid the use of multiple fill-in presenters like they did back in TVC, certainly in the latter days. So, what has this meant?

Tim Willcox used as one of the main presenters much more frequently. He appears to have a fixed slot now on World.
Ros Atkins appears to have moved up to be one of the main faces on the channel, deputizing for Jon Sopel as well as having his own regular prime time slots.
David Eades appears to have moved to weekends, as well as being one of the regular weekday fill ins in his old slot, I.e. the mornings.
Alas, all of the above appears to have meant far fewer appearances for Karin Giannone and Peter Dobbie in particular.
Kirsty Lang has also left. Her place on WNT taken by Philippa Thomas, who is herself subbed by Tim Willcox on occasion. (although, it was actually David Eades on WNT yesterday).

However, somewhat going against the grain of consistent slots, both Daniela Ritorto and Dani Sinha have appeared across the last two weekends, and Chris Rogers will be doing Saturday morning this weekend.

And finally..........., it was good to see JC again yesterday.

I guess Karin is now a friday presenter, but I definitely see less of Peter Dobbie.

Newsday has also been unstable lately, it's Kesha, Dani, or Daniela... but where is Babita?

seems he's now a regular commentator on the papers, i still wish one day he'll return presenting.
wishful thinking though.

I see Karin present most Fridays. Peter Dobbie seem to have disappeared. Now I see Dani Sinha and Daniela Ritorto presenting every other weekends, with David Eades and Karin Giannone filling the rest of the weekend.

Karin still has her evening weekend slot plus she seems to be one of the main fill in presenters for the late morning 9-1pm cet shift. Whatever happened to Geeta though? She was there first week of relunch and then disappeared.

Yes, I was wondering why Geeta disappeared. I see Karin presenting more often. Seems that the 0800-1200 shift is now anchored by various presenters.

One wonders if the BBC are celebrating International Women's Day today. Maxine & Rachel on this morning, Emily and Sophie on this afternoon, which a dash of Carole Walker in-between and not forgetting Kate on the One.

Interesting and different pairing on the News Channel this afternoon - Emily Maitlis and Sophie Long!

It seems a lot of presenters have been at NBH this week involved in the final rehearsals before the move in 10 days time. Lots of unusual occurences, with Rachel Schofield doing 5 days in a row, and Adam Parsons doing the evening shift 4 nights running, as well as the business news every morning (except for Thursday when Rebecca Pike did it!).
