The normal fill in, Adam Parsons, has already been on today as well. However, it's not inconceivable that he will also do a double shift.

Otherwise: Chris Rogers or Gavin Grey?

Ben Thompson (on his 2nd shift of the day) has tweeted that Adam parsons will be back at 1030 with his 2nd shift of the day. He goes on to say "tune in to see if we're still awake"

Good to see that two amazing, affable and charismatic rising stars will be on at the same shift as each other after 10.30pm. Second shift of the day for them both? They're just doing a Tim, aren't they?!

EDIT. And Adam's still very awake indeed. A sound level of banter between himself and Sophie Raworth at the end of the Ten.

Rather unbelievably, just tuned into BBC World News @ 12pm GMT and he's at the news desk!

The splendid Adam Parsons on BBC World News today, following on in the next shift after Martine Dennis. He is very good indeed.

The duty presenter on the News Channel at the moment is Tim Willcox. Incase anyone's wondering!

Noteworthy that Maxine hasn't done her usual 6 hours today. She was on this morning as usual but has clearly finished early

Simon McCoy and Naga Munchetty on this morning's Breakfast, from Salford. And Riz Lateef doing the news on the Andrew Marr Show, from London.

And I was glad to see Andrew Marr opened his show, with a statement proclaiming how sick and tired he is of all the Titanic coverage, and how the whole 'celebration' of the sinking is in rather poor taste. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the same, I was beginning to think I was.

Adam Parsons would be good having his own slot. I think he should fill in for Nik Gowing on The Hub.

Kasia Madera doing another non-Newsday shift on World.

I think they should give Simon McCoy the weekday Breakfast job when Bill decides to leave. In turn, give Adam Parsons the morning News Channel shift Monday to Thursday, and the Saturday night shift on BBC World News. Then give Gavin Grey more relief shifts on the NC, and Chris Rogers more airtime on World, filling in on The Hub and Impact when required.

Make sense?

It's not a celebration of the sinking. It's a celebration of the design and building of such a magnificent vessel and a ceremony to mark its tragic story and those who died onboard.

Wouldn't it be better to have some celebrations of a magnificent vessel that actually did the job it was meant to do.

If it hadn't have sunk, you'd probably not know much about it.

Speaking of sinking vessels, I assume the media have now simply lost interest in the Costa Concordia ?

Is everybody now accounted for ?

I assume all the bodies have now been recovered ?

Is the vessel still on its side ?

What's happening to it next ?

Funny how 100 year old 'news' can supersede 3 month old news ?
