I'm not sure you quite understand how broadcasting rights work. Just because it's on the web doesn't mean Sky could use it.

Yes, if you aired this live on BBC One, where would it stop? Land speed record attempts?

It might have made a good live event programme in its own right though ?

I could reverse the argument, next time there's a live football match, should it just be covered on the News Channel, freeing up BBC 1 to show a repeat of 'DIY SOS' or similar mind numbing crap ?

Nothing too exciting but a few 'Behind the Scenes' caps from a report about the weather that's been playing today:

I don't know why they don't just air Business Edition in the UK at 9:30, it's a pretty good programme and would save the NC from having to move studios.

Yeah I agree, Business Edition would be great addition to the current NC programme lineup.

With cuts to the business on the NC in the pipe-line, this would be a good way to at least in part compensate. I'm sure some sort of back-up studio would be available in Broadcasting House should they need to break away, on the very rare occasion.

That's if they decide to simulcast, it could simply be a repeat of the 9:00 edition, or a UK exclusive edition.

If they do simulcast, Hardtalk will need to be an hour earlier, and then there is the question of what to do about Sport. I do think having the full hour is better than having a World Business Report at 8:30 then Sport Today and then Business Edition?! just odd scheduling.

Something's gone wrong here... The World thread is talking about the handovers to the regions on the news channel / nationals, and here we're talking about a World programme.
