The countdown was messed up too - the video ended before the music, which went on too long and ended up getting cut off.

I have to admit he coped with it rather well.

At the risk of verging on a rota related question when did they switch to so many single headed hours? I notice Gavin Esler now seems to have regular slot from 18:30 or 17:00 when he's on as well.

They switched with the move last year but the reason why Matthew was alone today (in the video above) was because Jane was on the Six. If there had been a co-presenter the camera issue wouldn't have been a problem. I think it was confirmed elsewhere Gavin is permanent on the 18:30 slot as Annita has been given the 08:30 shift.
