Do you think the NC will start simulcasting the new Buisness Live bulletin to give two hours of simulcasting?

Victoria Fritz said that at least initially it will solely be on BBC World News bur that it might be picked up by BBC News Channel at a later date. A two hour break though from UK news might be too much - if it was able to replace one of the existing programmes in that block that would work.

I guess the back half-hour could be news and sport or ideally replace HardTalk with Buisness Live in the back half-hour as its repeated ad-infinutum anyway.

Of course it wouldn't just be a two hour break from news, because straight after Victoria Derbyshire provides us with no news for another two hours!

Nobody has explicitly said this, but there's a new edition coming to World in the evening (8pm UK time) - think that's what was being referred to.

Exactly! There is a new evening Buisness Live at 8pm UKT and Victoria Fritz mentioned it may come to viewers on the News Channel and with the current schedule without any changes then it would be a two hour break from UK news.

After Victoria Derbyshire, there is news but if an interview she's done is relevant to the story, then why get the guest in again to do a second interview when you can reuse the first? It's very logical to do this.

Whilst it is not seen very often - it is not new.

Anyone know why the ticker on the News Channel is so basic overnight? Instead of explaining stories it just says 'Conservatives ahead in Croatia election', 'Bangladesh boy killers to be executed' etc. Seems a bit useless.

They take the headline text from their websites RSS feed.

Proper ticker on tonight but they should take the Newsday DOG off during HardTalk, especially when it's covering the aston.

Very clumsy hand over tonight with World News taking World News America, as did the News Channel, with it then crashing to the News at Ten.

Considering the current situation in Paris, wouldn't it had made sense for the NC to stick with World with BBC1 taking the Ten?

Looks like they are, they crashed back into World News
