There have been numerous posts recruited for that reports suggested didn't previously exist - it might be for that. Also with the changes to the news channel they might have reduced the allocation to them. It is quite possibly just reflecting changes that have taken place since they started moving into NBH.

The business I work for have a set of office partitions that go up and down so frequently for just such reasons.

The video for the BBC London studios were clearly recorded before the weather centre had screens added to replace the BBC WEATHER sign that was on the wall.

Studio D looks better on screen than the virtual Studio A.. why can't they use it for 9pm & Newswatch etc??

I guess BBC London want to be in their studio for the News headlines at 2200, and to rehearse and record content for the 2225 bulletin?

But remember, When BBC London were in Studio A just after the News at Nine. They coped with that. Also remember the blooper when Clive was on the catwalk and you saw the BBC London presenter at the desk ready for the News at Ten headlines.

Yes - you can cope with things temporarily but that doesn't mean you want to do them permanently.

Dateline London is indeed coming from Studio D.

Does studio D require more staffing than E? I'm guessing it might have camera operators?

D doesn't have Furio cameras so someone will need to reposition cameras on the studio floor if they need to be repositioned. I think that the cameras are remote PTZ with elevate though.

I don't know whether the Mosart system recalls camera shots in D, so it may also need a remote camera operator in the gallery?

So once again a fairly big developing story with press conference coverage live on Sky and Al Jazerra. Meanwhile BBC News is showing a travel programme.

What is the camera situation in Studio D today then? At the TOTH they managed to quite nicely mimic a shot they usually use in the headlines where the camera moves around the edge of the desk whilst pointed towards one of the side screens which obviously involved physical movement of the camera, but I didn't think that Studio D had any cameras that could do it themselves, so are they using an additional member of staff to operate the cameras? I notice that the zoom in at the top of the hour has generally been different each time, with one TOTH zooming in very quickly and another doing the more normal gradual move, suggesting there is some form of operator?

Also, they've lit the main part of the desk in red as the BBC regions with the new sets have all done so far, despite BBC London doing what the NC does and lighting it in that blueish colour.

Why isn't B being used for some of this decamp? I've seen World in there on a Saturday before.

I think someone said the work is scheduled today and tomorrow. B isn't available tomorrow morning.

The virtual backdrop in Studio A for BBC London looks slightly better this time round.
