Tv ark: Relaunch and beyond

It's because it is going from Thames to LWT, it's just that LWT is broadcasting a programme originating from Thames. The same would have happened if LWT were broadcasting a different external source (or, more likely, internal LWT continuity)

Didn't realise Yorkshire Television ever used "Channel 3" branding like Tyne Tees did.

At least Yorkshire kept it's logo that time. The 3 was very much secondary.

Any news on the new video player? Only five month until Carlton page will be upgraded.

Bruce Gyngell wanted both a Channel 3 North East and a Channel 3 Yorkshire. Because the licence for the North East was legally in the name of Tyne Tees Television, they had to add that to the logo, so you had "North East 3 - Tyne Tees Television". Something that Gyngell overlooked in his quest for Channel 3 domination...
