There still some debate about that date on this video some people claiming that the old "ITV " was stil in use even after the logo of ITV changed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLnaV8OV8Ks
you may be right that it was 1998 Im seem a bit confused, its all darts in dart broad trying to figure out what's happening.
Next step would be to prove HTV used them

Now you come to mention it, it did remain in use for a period, possibly even into 1999. I was rarely up to see it, but I do recall thinking it was odd that overnight ITV seemed to be in a timewarp - the ITN News still came from its old set too.
On the subject of HTV's use of them - HTV were using the same basic templates as Meridian/Anglia but they never looked quite the same and HTV had different announcers which leads me to think that at this point HTV continuity wasn't coming from Southampton, in which case they probably didn't use them.

I do believe there had the same programmes, but maybe HTV provide the CA?

ITN didn't need to change it's set straight away, it didn't start using the ITV brand until 1999, so the 1998 rebrand had no effect on it.

What the OP means is that ITN's 1995 studio and music continued to be used on it's overnight (and Morning News) bulletins well after the March 1999 rebrand (very strange - does anyone know why?)
I don't know when this situation stopped, but it was still very much present into the year 2000.

Cost - it was far cheaper to keep using the 1995 studio. It stopped shortly before the ITN News Channel launched.

Im still wondering about these, TV have still kept them in the ITV 89 section instead of moving them to LWT area.
which means, Do there know if someone else took the links as well? I have no record of any other company taken the london feed between Jan 1993 - Summer 1995.

If it's London, then Carlton is an obvious answer.
its say 3 nights, some one says that because LWT did 3 nights, and no one has been able to say for use if Carlton..

Nice to see Schools TV section back but some of the videos don't appear to work (e.g. under Channel 4 Schools 1993-1997, the green countdown)

Yes, that sounds right. The 1995-1999 ITV News studio then became the ITN NC studio in August 2000 (and it's now ITV London's). Meanwhile, ITV News moved down into Studio 1 in the basement.
