Looks like part of the Metrovision theme hasn't been removed? I did a Ctrl+F5 to make sure it wasn't my cache...

Dear Metropol Pals,

I am trying to upload a file with a size of 46.2MB. A few weeks ago I tried to upload a file of 46.8MB. Each time, after going through the whole upload process (i.e. it took ages and the percentage in the bottom left of the screen increased all the way to 100%) the site returned the error "You must agree to the terms to upload anything". I had agreed to the terms and conditions on all four occasions (I tried each file twice). I have since been able to upload smaller files without an issue.

I think I have asked about file size limits before but I can't remember what he answer was. Is 46MB too big? If so, maybe there should be an error message telling me so, ideally before it has gone through the whole upload process. Same with the error telling me I hadn't clicked 'I agree to the terms'. Maybe that check should be made at the beginning of the upload process?

Thank you.

Metro's Upload Service is fab because:
* You can upload files for use on Metropol or TV Forum such as pictures, sounds and videos
* Only you can delete your files, we don't*
* You can upload files up to 20MB in size!
* You get a list of all the uploads from your username
* and you can hide any ones you don't want shown in public
*Files aren't deleted due to space / time constraints, only if they break the rules

And it'll stay fab so long as you:
* don't upload files that aren't for TVF/MP, or link to them from other sites
* don't upload library music, commercial fonts, copyrighted material, material not for public release or anything illegal or offensive8
* don't try and use us as an alternative to megaupload, rapidshare and the like
* and if you do try any of this, expect us to find out, and expect to be banned from the upload service, the forum or both

I seem to recall it's actually 30mb to give a bit of leeway but 46mb will make it spit out its dummy. Not sure why the wrong error shows though. Will add that to the list.

Thank you. I have another question if I may. I uploaded a video on Tuesday and embedded it here on Television Forum. I just noticed today that according to the upload service, the video has 415574 views, more than anything I have uploaded previously. My question is, what the hell?

It's a possibility that every load of the TVF "recent videos" thing is counting as a hit.

I can still get on using TalkTalk, but is taking around 30 seconds to download each page.
