Usually ITV show bond films on Sunday afternoon. Now they're also showing them late on Friday nights. Just let me be clear, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that I'm a bit surprised that they would show them THAT late, that's all.

When Sky Movies had the films and did their usual "rebrand channel 304 for a while" thing to I think it was 007 HD, all the Bond films ultimately went out late at night at some point over the channel's life , but I must have been looking the other way when the thread for that observation was created...

Ah, is that when Sky Channel 304 is called Sky Movies.... (Christmas, for example)
ITV show Bond films late at night quite regularly, for example
Diamonds are Forever was shown 23:10 on Fri 5 Feb
On Her Majesty's Secret Service was shown 23:10 on Fri 29 Jan

I don't think this is worthy of note.
I think that's probably when they've started showing Bond films late at night, I'm not sure.

Not sure, my DigiGuide doesn't go back any further.
Not that I care anyway.
There is a pattern however in that it's the same film as shown the previous Sunday lunchtime, and the only reason they've not done it the last two weeks appears to be because there was 6 Nations Rugby coverage on the Sunday previous.

The point being made is that it's not a new occurrence. ITV have been using Bond films as schedule fillers since the year 0. It's not noteworthy.
It is also worth noting that ITV had a '00Heaven' of James Bond films in 1999 and 2002.
These are the trails for the Bond films shown on ITV - Compilation recorded in 1999 with one odd trailer recorded in 2002.
Also the 1999 '00Heaven' season - Martini sponsored the films being shown

I have also made a that similar note shortly after your post was added.
Sorry but as already pointed out by other this isn't a new thing for ITV to do (or ITV2/ITV4 for that matter), and doesn't really warrant its own thread.
