Chris Evans to host Top Gear

Considering how big and important Top Gear is to the BBC in America it's a very wise choice. Didn't see this coming at all.

Another reason not to watch new top gear.

Totally not a shocker at all. Matt has been hosting "recap shows" of TopGear on BBC America this year. TopGear: The Races. So when I saw they named him co-host, it now makes sense why they had him presenting these TopGear specials. Like they were doing test shoots.

Interesting, looking forward to seeing if it works.

It now six, i have no idea who some of them are. Seems like a bit of an overkill, strange is, if this works it will move to BBC1 for its next series.

Overkill much?

Probably about the same amount of presenters as the old Top Gear had.

Think of some as reporters rather than Clarkson/Hammond/May style presenters and it makes more sense. Something like Watchdog has about the same number of on screen talent for a similar amount of airtime.

If le Blanc is to believed the next series (of Episodes, that is!) will be the last anyway.

Episodes was ready to end after the second season, it all wrapped up pretty well. How they still manage to write more of it is beyond me.

The previous Top Gear presenters seemed to manage to do other programmes as well as Top Gear, I don't see why another series of Episodes would be an issue
