Here's the sign from the other side (the Google Maps links above starts off facing away from the back of this sign):

So yeah, good luck getting past that (though even to get that far you'd have to go 1.3km down what is fairly obviously a private farm road)

Where's the public access? Sounds like a made up tale to me.

I was on the set of the WoolPack and one of the producers told me. Why would I make it up? What benefit is there for me to do that? Are you serious??

Yes, It's fenced off now - but this happened quite some time ago....

I'm sorry I bothered to share a light hearted anecdote - jeez....

I don't think that Fluffy Bunny Feet was directly accusing you of fabricating this story, but more of a false tale that has been told on. I think you may have take their comments to heart a little.

Correct. The industry is full of stories some of which are true.
Having said that often the strangest are true.
I suspect a bit of leg pulling but if I'm wrong I apologise unreservedly and it's a good tale.
I'm just not sure how a member of the public got there. Where had they come from?

You can legally walk to within 250m as there are loads of public rights of way up there.
However, I believe there are cameras and security are quick to act:

They obviously don't need it to work, just to be able to prominently display their sponsor's products!

Though I guess we should be thankful we don't get it this bad over here:

Speaking of product placement, Do any of you remember this?

Remember: If a programme spends more time advertising a product than showing you the plot, you can complain to your local or national television regulation authority (Ofcom in the UK or ACMA in Australia).

Yes. I, for one, remember it from three posts before the one you quoted.

Do you get paid commission or something?

No. I don't get paid commisson.

On the other hand, I do know that there are regulatory bodies that you can complain to about that this sort of thing by doing some research on them.

Oh. I just wanted to readdress that there we're regulations against that sort of thing before 2011 (pre-1995)
