Thank you for compiling and sharing this. It's nice to listen to these old tunes, time goes so fast!
Does anyone have the full length, 'higher' quality BBC World 2003 and 2007 Breakfillers to add to the collection? The 2003 one was touched upon earlier in the thread, the originals seem really hard to find.

Have recently communicated with David Lowe, it would turn out that he didn't "actually" haven anything to do with the BBC World breakfillers for 2003. Any idea who they are by??

As has been mentioned the 2003 "breakfiller" was known internally and externally as a Dynamic Junction, if you google for such you'll find various articles about its creation and implementation, alas none about the design or audio. I had always presumed it was Davids however... As far as I am aware there were two mixes, the long 6min main one as heard and a shorter 4min lighter version that I don't think ever made it to air.

Back in December 2012 before the move to BH and around the time "Global with Jon Sopel" was announced. ISTR one of our insiders lamenting a nice new set of titles/music for "The Hub" which would never be seen on air. I know its a long shot but i'd love to see/hear them if they're still out there somewhere.
Also, thanks to DTV for posting there were quite a few of the more recent bits of music you've posted which i'd not heard 'off air' before. I'm especially liking the Focus on Africa stuff. It also reminded me that since the cancellation of Business Edition we've lost one of the best bits of David Lowe's music, originally World News Today which is IMHO second only to the pacey 2002 World music.
Does anyone have any of the World Service Television music (Arabic, Persian, Turkish, India Global, Alba, etc) from 2008 to present. I remember there used to be an 'International' version of the countdown which was similar to the Persian one but without the middle eastern instruments. I used to have that but i cant seem to locate it.

Here's the International countdown. That's unfortunately all the BBC World Stuff I have, I'd love to here more though. IMO the BBC World News programmes represent some of David Lowe's best work. I really hope that they'd launch a programme aimed at Latin America because the music would probably be amazing.
