BBC ONE NI used the 'Skateboarders' ident from the Dancers era into Strictly. BBC TWO NI used Garden into Gardeners' World.

...and a lovely montage of idents and announcements before it - even Choice Northern Ireland! Is it nonstop retro idents all the way now then? Looking forward to seeing that balloon back on air.

Indeed; I rewound to watch the montage a second time. Chills of nostalgia seeing and hearing those idents... Great sequence.

Not sure whether the mass use of old idents is a celebration or just highlighting the fact that today's presentation is just rather tired.

The montage is great but just playing out the old idents, especially if it's for a full week, does feel a bit lazy. At least BBC2 has an updated logo which kind of justifies it (though it'll surely confuse viewers switching from celebrating 50 years to 90 years).
