The BBC have been advertised 'uninterrupted coverage' for the past week or so but the continuity announcer said they were showing a Doctor Who advert at half time. They can't have it both ways.

That's what has really pissed me off with the BBC of late - during the tennis they promoted something pretty much at the end of every set in some matches. It may be a break in play but it is mighty annoying with no actual justification.

Argentina just scored a goal on BBC One but it was disallowed on ITV[1].

"Put it back on the beeb we don't want adverts."
"Ok... *Switches over*... Oh wait. They have adverts too! Except our license fee pays for these [unessential] ones"

I'm liking the informality of ITV's coverage. Just like 2010, BBC are in suits, ITV are in shirts and shorts. They're looking comfortable, they're relaxing on a beach, just like you're relaxing on your sofa. It's more personal and relatable and Adrian is being funny and laid back, deviating from the script a lot.

The BBC's pundits look so uncomfortable and it's very awkward.

I know, I think Adrian would be
great on a Breakfast show...oh wait.

Seriously though, ITV's presentation throughout tonight and the whole tournament has been a class above the BBC's in my opinion. Got ITV on full stop now...for the commentary too.

Poor coverage of the gentleman running on to the pitch. Obviously there wasn't much BBC or ITV could do about it if they weren't being given the pictures. You can see him on the tactical cam though albeit from very high up. He comes on from the right of the picture and is chased by some people in high-vis jackets and a man in black. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/27463900 (about 21:41).

If you choose to watch online, I like being able to just press "play" on the BBC Sport website than having to sit through a registration process and pre-stream adverts for a crappy stream.

BBC here. Always liked Lineker as a host, and not keen on Chiles.

Yet if they swapped channels people would argue the other way.

Agree that once again ITV have provided the better coverage throughout, though take Michael's point about watching online. BBC is easy, ITV is an absolute nightmare.

I would just stay away from streaming the World Cup final full stop. I can just imagine the amount of buffering.

RTE Two at the highest bitrate has help up quite well tonight, not had any buffering issues...

If you're talking about Lineker vs Chiles, I've never liked the latter. He's disliked by far more people than Lineker, I'd say.
