BBC seem to have lost all graphics. They don't even have their BBC Sport DOG and the names of the players going up to collect their prizes aren't appearing as they are on ITV[1].
If you're talking about Lineker vs Chiles, I've never liked the latter. He's disliked by far more people than Lineker, I'd say.
I've always liked both and think both often get unfairly slated on forums etc.
But people quite like to be annoyed so I'm not sure it matters too much.
It's pretty obvious that more people dislike Chiles though, and that's only got worse since he's been shoehorned into football presenting. I can't think of many presenters that are disliked by everyone I know.
Perhaps you don't know many people. I know lots of people who like him and find him very funny.
Although, I think people liked him a lot more when he was on The One Show than when he went to Daybreak. Which goes back to the point of who would be more popular if they switched channels.
So BBC chickened out first and went to the news. The final kind of highlighted the point I've been making all tournament - by the time ITV cut away from the stadium to go to ads the BBC had already cut to the studio and 4 blokes in suits.
Overall though not many complaints about either - though I think the one thing that has stood out is the lack of depth in commentary talent on both sides.
The winners and the losers:
Germany They won the World Cup, so they should probably be included
Presenters/Pundits commentators
Matt Smith: Seemed get nearly as many live games as Adrian and appeared on all the biggest ITV matches in the stadium.
Danny Murphy: Likely to become BBC Sport's number 1 co-commentator with a positive reaction from most.
Lee Dixon: Established himself as a solid co-commentator as well as studio pundit
Mark Lawrenson: Sounded asleep for most the tournament and very negative during one of the most exciting World Cup's in history.
Tim Vickery: Must have been his highest profile media role and for someone that's not an ex-player in this day and age it's an achievement.
Graphics: BBC Sport win this, a few failings with timings with the world feed, but looked better than the mish-mash on ITV.
Titles: ITV best music and simple retro title sequence but gives a feeling of the nation and the competition. BBC effort not bad though.
Studio: ITV win with a mixture of use of the cafe beach set and the studio which was in a better position than the Beeb's on a shot for shot basis.
Presenters and Punditry team of the tournament: ITV Sport without a shadow of a doubt. O'Neil is always the star of any panel he's on and nearly all of the others have been strong and engaging.

I don't know what forums you go to but the criticism of Chiles far outweighs anything I've ever seen of Lineker.
Did you read my post? No where did I compare the level of criticism, simply I've seem them both slated but one to a much larger extent to the other. I might have only seen Lineker slated a couple of times and the statement wouldn't be any less valid. Any slating of either is unfair in my view.
