The big news today is the broken screen on The Million Pound Drop. Not one of the small screens with the answers on them, which has happened before, but the big screen with the question and other stuff on it.
I am not sure I like the new Million Pound Drop or not. I don't like there being teams and the team members taking turns, this didn't really work when celebrities did it and it doesn't work with plebs either.
Channel 4 just left the Live DOG up during the ads of the Million Pound Drop, I don't think they were though.
It's a hideous DOG too - the one they used original alternating with the clock was fine, and so what is a small handful of idiots watching on +1 or 4oD can't grasp that it's not actually live.
Channel 4 put out a 'special' Countdown today, despite starting Series 69 yesterday. It was quite old as it still had the old digital style CECIL displays. Sadly it was not old enough to not feature Nick Hewer.
Does anybody know why this was? It seems like quite a late move, and I wonder if the episode which was meant to go out today will be dropped?
What were the symptoms of this special episode? Did the programme itself refer to it being 'special' or was it actually just a repeat of an old episode? What did the continuity announcer say? Who was in Dictionary Corner? It was meant to be Penny Smith this week, I think.
