Cor blimey, Sasha curtainly gets around, doesn't she. Anyway, changing the subject, it looks like Lorna Dunkley is permanently on Sky News rather than Westcountry.
And just a bit of anorak information, her sister, Rosie Dunkley is a Journalist at BBC Radio Cornwall. I've never met her but she sounds a lot like Lorna, you know, that speaking through your nose thing.

Meridian (or ex-Meridian) presenters also pop up now and again - Hannah O'Sullivan has done stints.
I guess Anglia and Meridian (and Central) are all close enough to make sense in travel terms. Less likely to see Tyne Tees and Border types slogging down to West London and back?

To be honest, I've seen the most local ITV news readers pop up on Sky News, there are a couple from on own region Anglia who appear quite regulary, a chap called Nick and Karine, who is on tonight.... plus Greg Milam, who used to be an Anglia TV reporter as well.

Also as was mentioned in another thread about the ITV NC, Lloyd Bracey a presenter/reporter/producer/editor (I'm pretty sure he's done all of that) at TVS/Meridian is now working on the News Channel as a presenter.

as has been mentioned before, jo malin from central is on sky news overnights every now and then, and so is jonathon morrel from tyne tees.
so many local presenters appear to be freelance nowerdays - robin powell from central can sometimes be seen reporting for ITN (esp. on a weekend) and bob hall (from central sport) for ITN sport.
over on the beeb i have only ever seen giles latcham reporting on the 1oclock news.
a bit off topic but, do ITN and local crews share OB trucks on location? as i went past lloyd house yesterday, and saw only 2 trucks - when less than 1/2 hour earlier i had seen live PTC from the location on central news - then ITN and the BBC. does that mean central and ITN hire a sat truck (central news' own truck was up in shropshire yesterday) from SIS and split the cost?

Yes they do! Mostly its local stations using the ITN truck but increasingly if the local stations have their own sat truck somewhere, the reporters will also be asked to do lives for the ITV News Channel.

Two Granada reporters are doing quite a bit for Sky at the moment. Trevor Green and Bernard Smith have been doing bits recently. Although I did see Bernard on the ITV evening news the other week.

The late Andrew Gardner leaving News at Ten in 1979 to front Thames News almost to the very end in '92...
Alastair Stewart leaving News at Ten in 1992 to front London Tonight in 1993, and he's still there!

Glen Thompsett who presents for Meridian's south-east opt would make a damn fine ITV News presenter either on the main channel or the ITV news channel.
