Ummm....that ident is meant to represent the Giant's Causeway (load of hexagonal rocks) in County Antrim!

Regionalised idents. it's a long time since we've seen anything like that. Most of us don't even get our local news balloon in the right place.
And yes,that is the Giant's Causeway. I like the '2' much better when it has a full 3 dimensions to move in. The problem with Bounce and to a certain extent Fish, is that the yellow backdrop is just completely flat - there's no axis going 'into' the screen.

Names... The one you saw at 1800 I decided to call Fry - because 2 is tempted by an Ulster Fry... doesn't actually eat it though! You'll have to watch carefully when there's a bit more time for the ident to see what he eats instead.

Anyway, it was shown as an 'animation' (yay! they still exist!) straight after the Snooker. The actual ident a minute later was Fish 3...
Well, at least the BBC are up to date with current affairs!

I agree that the four originals have become very stale very quickly, but these two look just as bad. A '2' eating its breakfast?! A strong contender for the title of
'The Worst Ident in the World...Ever!'
Why can't they get away from this silly idea of the '2' having to grow arms to do things?
BTW have there been any recent sightings of the original Fish idents, or are we to conclude they have been ditched in favour of the new version?
