Maybe move the hour to the afternoon, and have it on three times a week. This used to happen in 1987-8 with Live at one thirty.

Why bother though......just take it off..... It is dire!!

Glad that stv took my advice......only thing I can not understand.....how did it take so long!! Good bye to this muck!!

This may be the first time a show has been pulled not because of poor ratings but more to the fact that STV kept getting comment on facebook, etc complaining about the changes, I remember the first week on website live chat Shocked

What a very sad ending to a very promising concept. Axed after four weeks of a new format, without a proper last show. STV needs something like this, they need something unique, something local - a Scottish One Show. But this isn't it.

We had that in The Five Thirty Show, which had great ratings, better than what the Hour had at 5pm. But in true STV style, they can't just let things be. They have to go changing and when they change it never works.

Lunchtime Scotland Today used to be good back in the day, when Angus & Kirsty/Louise presented it. Then they started having everyone present is. Angus was like Stephen Jardine and Rachel McTavish good at soft/warm news and lifestyle.

Also look at the STV Sports Centre. It was well received and ratings where really good, but that I bet was pulled as they could not afford to have that, The Hour and Scotland Tonight. Their wee lost Gerry McCulloch, he would have been 10 times better than Tam Cowan!

People like that leave and your stuck with the likes of Michelle McManus and Tam Cowan.

I remember when STV reared presenters. Esp ones with the soft/warm lifestyle quaility. Nick Dixon, Aileen Taylor, Kaye Adams, Isla Traquair, Sarah Mack!

Now they have no one! The goods ones are alaway working for BBC or ITV!

Get a grip STV!

I say bring back the Five Thirty Show with Gerry McCulloch & Rachel McTavish and start to warm others into the roles or presenters, like Kelly Ann Bishop, Vicky Lee and even Euan Wemyss from Aberdeen.

There's a final show at 10:40pm next tuesday.

I agree 100% but what went out 4 weeks ago was nothing more than utter shamblic mess Mad I get the feeling STV will be looking Very closely at all the comments made my the public and hopeful there can come back later in the year or January etc to relaunch the Scottish chat show

Lunchtime Scotland today went down the pan around 2001, and just after that it was moved to 2pm, and well it just stuck out like a sore thumb! thanks des and mel! I full understand why STV did it, there were trying to found alot of 30mins fillers and also believe there could just expand the show to fill the time slot and also expand the success.... it did kinda work, it did beat ITV1 ratings and everything else on other stations.

Really? Is that just going to be a best bits compliation or something? You can tell how much they care for it if they're putting it at 10:40pm.

Go onto the STV channel on youtube, and search for "live at one thirty". It only ran for one series, and was on three days a week, Monday Wednesday and Friday. I still say this would be a better slot for the show, and moreso, rather than the hour, bring back LAOT.

You get the feeling the man from the IBA might have got it wrong on this occasion.
