ITV Ident's

Hi, just thought of some ideas for idents for ITV1. Don't have any video software yet and as their more ideas rather than designs! The multiple images are showing how there'd be executed on screen.

What you think? Constructive critisim welcome!

Sport
This would be the ident for sports programmes. The logo would be created by the fans lifiting up cards, like they do in football matches to show the england flag and then it pans out to reveal Wembely and the logo has completly formed like below.


Desert
This could be used for Travelouges etc. A standstorm would happen whcih would reveal the logo.






Nature
This could be used for nature and factual programmes. It would start of with an image of Caterpillars and would then speed up the life cycle of the Caterpillars into a Butterfly, which would fly and reveal the logo.


Sea
This could be used for factaul programmes too. It would start of above sea level and then go underwater and the turtle/tortoisewould appear and swin, therefore revealing the logo.

Firstly, use the right logo. They always use the white '1' in the ident logos, you have used some black ones.

Also, where is all the yellow? Apart from the desert one, none really have a yellow theme.

Also, what special happens in each ident? Does the football one literally just fly over a football stadium?? Bit boring don't you think?

Try looking at the current idents, the majority of them have something special or unusual happening which you wouldn't normally see in real life.

I understand you don't have video software, but basically all you've done is found some pictures and put the logo on in various stages. If you are going to do this, at least describe the unusual stuff which could happen in the idents, e.g. in the football one, a football is kicked up from the stadium and it shoots in the sky and the logo is revealed as the ball flies up.

Be a bit inventive with your ideas. Sorry if I've sounded harsh but didn't want to tip toe round everything.

Just relised about the diffrent logo's - I think what happened was that I had some other ones I didn't end up uploading and because of the background the "white 1" didn't show up, therefore I used the black - and as I had quite a few different logo's I.e. the HD ones aswell. I've mistakenly just used the same "wrong" logo on the subsequent images.

Secondly, I suppose I was just doing them in general, but as you have said it would be a good idea to base it around a yellow theme.

Also, on the point about what special happens in each ident, I actually did have ideas what was going to happen, but it ended up taking me ages to screencapture, upload, sort out the codes when posting etc, that I ended up just putting the basic description - I've been meaning to edit the above post, to go into a bit more detail about what happens.

On the last point i'm going to hopefully get some video software soon and i suppose all i have done is found some pictures and put the logo on in various stages, but untill there I sort out the video software, it's all I can really do. on the numerous pictures I was just trying to give an idea of the transistion, rthae than just the last slide, but as I've put above I'll go into a bit more detail.

Why not do a new post with just some descriptions, no images.

Describe a few idents to give us an idea.

When I first heard of the new ITV1 ident 'Snakes and Ladders' this is how I pictured it:

The ident starts with a close up of a bright yellow snake moving across a brightly coloured board, the camera pans out revealing more of the board and a few more snakes come into shot. One snake come in and the logo reveals behind it. As the camera comes out more we see it's a giant snakes and ladders board and some of the snakes slither in and out of various ladders, and some snakes go over the top of the logo.

I came up with this idea within 5 mins of hearing the name of the new ident.

Why not have a go with some of your ideas.

Well, that's not going to please football fans in Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland!

Well it wouldn't affect people in NI, and not many in Scotland, but yes you're right about Wales.

True - forgot about that!! But in scotland they have STV idents. In wales the used to (don't think they still do) had ITV1 with "wales" next to it. So if they used to have a Wales varient then, they could just have the Welsh Flag unveiled instead! Or if all else fails a Union Jack!

How long did this take? What's the concept? Where's the good execution? Where's the right aspect ratio? Where's the correct logo?

Yeah I love the STV Idents in the ITV BORDER Region
And I would totally love Wembley being featured in the Scottish Borders! not!!

I wonder if they could be in HD too?
