Quite pleased that Melinda Messenger is involved, actually. She gets easily dismissed because she's a blonde former model, but she's pretty intelligent and a really good presenter.
I hope they haven't got their Wrights mixed up - I thought it was going to be Matthew Wright?

Kate might be good looking and intelligent but she has the personality of a bucket of wet concrete. If her bit of presenting she did on The Apprentice is anything to go by she is going to be abysmal. Melinda, OK choice. Ian, what were they thinking?!
I see on the news Isla Traquair's leaving 5 news in the autumn as they drop the 7pm news bulletin in favour of an hr long magazine programme.

Anyone else suspect it will all be over and replaced with a news bulletin sometime late next year? There's no way this can compete with the likes of TOS.
They'll give it a go for maybe up to a year but when it fails it'll be replaced with zoo days or something similar.

As bad as that ! I'd rather see her go back to reporting with ITV etc. She and Matt got the 5 news good ratings through the 08-09 autumn to spring seasons. This is how they repay her.
Isla's going? That's a shame..she was good - I can see her being an overnight/weekend presenter on Sky News maybe?

And if they are using the studio will the five news bulletin at 5 also use the studio, or will it be green screen for the foreseeable future?
Will 'Live from Studio Five' be coming from the studio at the Sky News Centre? Since it's a kind of news/magazine programme?
