no. only the updates are done from the mezz. The 5pm prog has its own studio.

Wouldn't it be interesting if Five News moved up there for all bulletins.

You cant spot any of the Sky News set from the mezz except the fins - they could be coloured purple for the bulletins, nice desk would fit up there, a wide shot camera - it would save a lot of money too.

I see on the news Isla Traquair's leaving 5 news in the autumn as they drop the 7pm news bulletin in favour of an hr long magazine programme.

Isla's going? That's a shame..she was good - I can see her being an overnight/weekend presenter on Sky News maybe?

One of the best talents Five News have got. Having said being moved back to reporting/relief presenting would be a demotion so maybe she didn't want to stay?

Teletext reporting that the new show will be called "Live from Studio Five" and will be hosted by Kate Walsh (Apprentice reject), Melinda Messenger (ex-model) and Ian Wright (ex-Arsenal footballer)

Anyone else suspect it will all be over and replaced with a news bulletin sometime late next year? There's no way this can compete with the likes of TOS.
