There's a new UTV Advent Calendar online.
http://www3.u.tv/calendar/
Sadly, there's not many out-takes, mainly reports from this year on UTV and archive Christmas clips from 1966 which have already been used on UTV Rewind, but also links to colouring-in pictures, recipes and other gubbins.
And the same trick as last year works to see all the clips...
I recommend 4, 15, 19 (for all you Marc Mallett fans) and 21.
No word yet on any UTV regional programmes over the Christmas period yet, though.

The usual school programme (2006 - The Gift, 2007 - It's a Baby) was filmed a couple of weeks ago in the primary school just down the road from me. Someone I work with mentioned that her daughter was being filmed by UTV for a Christmas programme so I assume that's what it was!
While I'm here, a few changes to note recently! Firstly, some new u.tv graphics:

One thing I noticed on the UTV website is they have a "UTV Soaps" page - which merely contains a link to the ITV Soaps website.
I also see UTV are giving The X Factor a subtitle on their website - "Eoghan's Story". The wee lad from Dungiven has apparently also got cross-party support from the Executive. You never thought it'd be something off the UTV that would unite Norn Irn's politicians, eh?
The Watch To Win graphics are very swish, but they'd suit a "face" younger than Julian. He does look desperately old now.
And can anyone sneak into Havoc House when no one's looking and please remove or disable the Arial fonts from all the computers they use for graphics?!?

So instead of linking to the TV Burp website at itv.com, they instead link to the front page of u.tv, which presumably doesn't feature any TV Burp content?
There is nothing on the u.tv website for TV Burp. Are we surprised? No.

They took it one step further on Saturday night...

EDIT: Just seen the first sign of Christmas on UTV, a festive endboard on a trailer. Will get a cap of it if it appears again!

Both - she did the links and the teatime news bulletin

Was she announcing or newsreading?
Strange of her to suddenly turn up after almost two years off screen, and given the fact three newsreaders/announcers have been taken on since her last shift at UTV.
