I didn't see it at the end of Eastenders but I'm sure i've heard of a BBC Productions ident...

Thats a BBC Generic Ident thats replacing the ribbons. Its been created to be used on digital platforms too, eg - iPlayer, podcasts etc. Musical imaging was created to accompany the ident, to be used across TV, Radio and Online.
The BBC productions caption at the end of eastenders replaces the old 'BBC' standard logo. It spins similar to the ident, and the BBC cross channel promotions.

I think the animation looks a bit Powerpoint to be honest. The placement and size of 'Productions' also looks a bit wrong. It's a shame because it could be really nicely done.
And they're still using a makeshift version of the first BBC Three DOG logo on that endcap. Though perhaps the new pink one would clash slightly!

Any opportunity
Yeah, "BBC Televisual Output Department" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it, does it?

'BBC Productions', I wonder where they got the idea of that name from

As just a "wild stab in the dark" I would think it's because the organisation is called the BBC and they made the programme. What alternative name would you suggest?

"A BBC Production", or just ( C) BBC like they've seemed to have managed with up to now
