Interesting that they do that on New Year's Eve, yet maintain a seperate national news operation on Christmas Day

I was thinking that - you'd think with Christmas Day being a public holiday and News Year's Day not it would be the other way around!

ISTR last year someone said it was because the New Year fireworks OB from Somerset House was routed via the N6 gallery. Or did I imagine that?

Maybe the people who work at BBC News treat New Year's Eve as more of an importance than Christmas Day Laughing

Good heavens. Natasha and Jane on for a 3rd night. The Beeb must like this duo together. One would have thought they'd get Bill from Breakfast in Dermot's absence. Still, I ain't moaning, makes a good change to see a female doubled headed bulletin on a regular basis.

Anyone have any ideas when Sian is back?

Do you think they'd do two males? I wouldn't mind that for a change.

Did yesterday see the youngest person to be interviewed on the Six o' Clock News? I think the 14 year old salior could have been the youngest. And Kaplinsky was overly patronising I found in that interview. I'm glad the boy gave her a rubbish interview.

Natasha is my inspiration. She made me want to take up jounalism. However, sghe was very odd during that interview.

George Allagaugh...(or whatever) and Dermot might be good together
