Thoughts on tonight's UTV Live:

Who came up with that long-winded "weather watching" camera clue than seemed to make little sense? It was embarrasing to watch Frank having to repeat the whole thing twice at the end (and probably at the beginning - day by day he becomes more smug and patronising IMO). They also spelt Belleeks wrong in the reveal caption.

I also expected after the forecast the other presenter would turn and give Frank a WTF-kind of look, but instead Alison carried on as normal.

Also, has Frank had a day off since they moved to the new studio? It feels like he hasn't.

And did they really show the clip of the vet falling off a cliff in the headline sequence - then straight after the headlines show it again with a teaser for the story? I didn't think it was good journalism to refer to him as a "celebrity" introducing the report - then again, the word "celebrity" was used in what looked like a STV report with new commentary by Niall Donnelly.

HA HA HA! at Lil' Ian calling Lurgan a Republican part of Northern Ireland! Very Happy

Is Mark - McFad-den's - voice - becoming - more ro-botic as - well? How apt Paul introduced it. Even Lynda made a few slip-ups on the autocue tonight.

Did they really wipe from one shot of Laganside Courts to represent one story to another VT package of shots of Laganside Courts for a different story? Just checked and they did...

Bah, when they talked about Little and Large on sport, I was hoping Graham Little was gonna be on Sad

And seems like no one told Paul they were still on air while he was recapping on the weather at the end either.

Have UTV been watching RTE News lately?

Now watching the "chocolate fraud" story on Newsline - did they blow the graphics budget on writing "15K" using luxury chocolates? What happened to them afterwards?

And why is the Comment Line aston still using Frutiger? Never mind report astons still in Gill Sans Bold and most report graphics packages in the Helvetica family...

Ooh, Chris Buckler in a long black coat... made my night Smile

Being from this little known place of Belleeks, it actually is not called Belleeks, but Belleek, all the signposts in the area and the signs into the village have no S on them. All the locals call it Belleek. The S has been added by some, so not to confuse it with some place else? Rolling Eyes I have no idea where!

I always thought it was Belleek - like the Fermanagh village, its Irish name is Beal Leice...

Have a guess Wink Although I wouldn't really call a £10 box a luxury box.

He's stuck on the Omagh report, so get used to lots of court shots and him standing outside in his coat!

Yes the Irish form is Beal Leice, but i believe that where the county Armagh Belleek means mouth of the flag stone, the Fermanagh Belleek, means mouth of the flag staff.

Unfortunately I missed it, was it like an episode of Nolan Live then but with an over the top theme tune?

Oh and viewers who enjoy waking up to Rose will be delighted when they turn on their televisions near the end of this week...

It's a nice place. It's near my aunts house in Ballyshannon, which is about 10 minutes away from the border, which Belleek is on, I think.
