I know I have my irrational dislikes of many people on tv -- Andrew Jones, Dale Winton, Andi Peters, Kilroy, Fiona Phillips etc etc -- but honestly, there isn't anything unpleasant at all about Ruth! I just don't get it. She's pleasant, cheerful, capable, happy, enthusiastic. All things Andrew Jones isn't, but I don't think I have half the problem with him that you have with her!

I'm suspecting this Williams guy that Catherine Evans married isn't really the joy and happiness the initial relationship promised -- she wasn't that miserable before.. Surely the producers need to have a word.

And I am starting to have a problem with the trumpets at the beginning of HTV News, and on the 5.30 preview thing. Although that looks loads nicer in 16:9 format, however it's done. The next look for HTV News shouldn't be so dark. Lighter and darker blues, and some metals. And maps of Wales should feature a bit more. I like the Central News studio, and Westcountry Live's quite nice too, and the way they interpret the map of the westcountry, but I'd like to keep the desk I think.

TV Home has the ident, calling it "Eye". It's used before the programme at 9pm on Sundays, and it's a bit twisted and bizarre. There are also 2 versions of it. Tomorrow it's Amdani, a few weeks ago it was Treflan.

I don't like estates, they look too bulky and long. Saying that my car is 14 ft long which is a bugger to park!


I wouldn't have a clue how to park that either! Oh yeah, and the small issue of not knowing how I'd afford one in the first place, but anyway.. Cars like that are wasted in the city -- it looks nice there twisting along a country road. And OMG, it's pictured driving on the left!

Wonder what car Sara Edwards has -- doesn't she show her face down your way, Jamez? I haven't seen her on WT for months..

Sara doesn't quite have the car you'd imagine her having. It's VERY old.

Well there's strange, because she quite happily drives a black G reg car.......

I agree 100%

BUT

The HTV News themes have always been catchy and whistleworthy when you are walking down the street.

PS it looks much better in widescreen aswell - i wonder why they dont broadcast the main bulletins in that format? HTV West do!

TV Dragon the reason I dont like Ruth is cos she gets on my nerves - I cant explain it anymore than that really! As you have said too she is hardly the hardest worker out of the HTV Team even before she was up the duff. Very Happy

Are we giving in already? 2 months in and already SS is "on ITV-1"?! Surely not. Will you not give us "on ITV-1 Wales", or see in your heart to say "on HTV" Smile

But avoid the oh-so-cheap "on this channel" that SMG and Lucy Cohen seem to prefer.. Confused

...

And the big cat trail seems to have gone quiet for the time being. Perhaps when the police do catch it and shoot it [as they plan to], Wales Today could get the exclusive on the rug they make out of it. Sara could incorporate it in a 2003 round-up show this coming Christmas --
"Remember the story we brought you back in January about the prowling big cat in Carmarthenshire.."
--- *camera pans out to reveal Sara standing on black fur rug*
"..well this was the star of the show right here, and here's how the story unfolded..."

The pic in my sig is of Rebecca Hobbs who plays Kate Larsen in Shortland Street - she is one of the main characters in the eps airing on HTV atm!

I will change it to Carltonif its what makes you happy but as the show is also on Central, London, West COuntry I though it was easier to say ITV

I cannot stand SS - or any other similar trash.

I do like Hywel James' countryside programmes in the afternoons though.

Well some people cant appreciate decent programmes -I love SS espcially Rachel, Tamsin, Donna and Kate!

As for Hywel's show - dont make me laugh
