On Christmas Eve the CA in the evening was wonderfully witty, jolly and enjoying the festive season! The trailers, stings, idents and festive programmes as well as the festive comments and fun gives BBC1 the prize in my opinion for most effort made this Christmas.

I have been glued to the channel since "Casper" was shown yesterday. Then there was "Babe" and "The Princess Diaries". I had dinner when Weakest Link was on and then watched "shrek" "EastEnders" "Outtake TV" "my Family" "Jonathan Ross" "The Royle Family" "Midnight Mass".

Today there was "The Queen" "Dear Father Christmas" "102 Dalmations" "Big Impression" "Harry Potter" "EastEnders" "The Vicar of Dibley" "Abfab" and I am about to watch the film "Out of Sight".

and people complain that there's no entertainment!

BBC1 10/10 for variety and effort, ITV1 6/10 for more of the same and dull idents.

Casper and Babe have been shown god knows how many times and should have been shunted to the CBBC channel. I agree that ITV1 have not been very jolly, using Drama as their festive entertainment, whilst BBC1 has put more emphasis on Comedy and movies, and the idents are really nice and christmassy and have got me in the mood for Christmas. It's always the same, BBC1 always put in more effort at Christmas, whereas ITV1 throw a few things together, they try harder throughout the year, then Christmas is usually a letdown, the only highlight for me was Corrie.
