The green stalks and leaves on Remembrance Day poppies were also interesting - though they were hue-suppressed to grey rather than disappearing I think (so they weren't quite the right green to disappear!)
It is a real problem with chroma keying - you need real experts in lighting, racks and driving the keyers - even with Ultimatte (which is what ITN have I think) which is the best keyer around.

If there's a photo on the front of a newpaper with a patch of green in it which they hold up to the camera, unsurprisingly it looks as if it has a hole in it.
