problems then on The ITV News Channel!
The 09:45 advert break ran and then back to the studio before the 10:00 break interuppted proceedings and cut everyone off. Chris and Shuilie then filled until 09:59 and one minute of ITV1 promotions before John Nicholson began exactly at 10:00!

Did anyone else notice that the 10.30 bulletin was slightly longer than usual again last night ? It was on until 2305, and it started exactly at 2230. Last nights programme was quite good - there was a lot of news (and world news) up until about 2252 and then it was the sport, then just the usual regional news and the papers etc. But if ITV made the 10.30 bulletin like that every night, without the commercial break in the middle, it could be passed as a flagship bulletin to rival the Ten O'Clock News. But I think the reason last nights bulletin overran was because of a longer than usual report on Sudan/Darfur. But I must say ITV News' coverage of the Sudan Crisis has been a lot better than BBC News.
It goes to show ITV can still do it.

I seem to only remember her as a reporter. I never remember her being a newsreader, i think she had quite a high up position there though. Is she medical editor at ITV News or science editor? as i always get her and lawrence mcginty's titles mixed up!

Does anyone else remember Sue Saville on GMTV as a newsreader/reporter from 1993-1997ish?

I agree with you on this, if only they'd learn how to spell the name of the camp where all the sudanese refugees have escaped to. So far i've seen it spelt and said in four different ways:-
braejing
beijing - suddenly sudan has a border with china!
braidjing
braijing
and
brayjing
i know this may seem pedantic but with them managing to tackle a story so well, shouldn't they at least be able to spell the place properly! BBC News haven't mentioned Sudan at all in their bulletins over the last few days!

What, you didn't notice the rather large reports on Tues/Wed and the big appeal afterwards where narrator Natasha Kaplinsky was close to tears?
sorry!
forgot!

Sue Saville = Medical Correspondent
Lawrence McGinty = gets called both Medical and Science Editor

All this week, Dermot Murnaghan presented the BBC Six O'Clock News. One word for it: awful. He suits ITN more. He looked incapable of doing the news for some reason - could it have been his co-host Sian Williams perfume!
Also, I'm suprised that no-one else has said about the arrest of former ITN News Channel newscaster Alison Bell being arrested over drug charges, alongside James "What's He Famous For" Hewitt.
